From 1990’s to present, Bob was involved in various types of real estate investments as a Principal and Joint Venture Partner with several home-building companies. In addition, as a Syndicator, Bob initiated and successfully turned around several multifamily properties and home-building tracts purchased from various lenders after their developments failed.

In late 2009, Bob and his co-founder, Ellen Bellandi Alexander, foresaw a new opportunity – that of purchasing homes at foreclosure auctions and rehabilitating/reselling these properties quickly for substantial profit. The initial foray into this space was done using their own funds. After early successes, it was obvious that there was room to automate and expand the business and PCCA was launched.

Prior to PCCA, Bob founded and operated Mountain Capital Group, Inc. and is still a principal owner of numerous other real estate investment companies. MCG was both an equity partner and a Mezzanine lender, providing capital to real estate developers. From 1996 through 2008, MCG provided approximately $200 million in private equity funds and Mezzanine debt for the development of real estate projects located primarily in California, Nevada and Colorado.

Prior to forming Mountain Capital Group, Bob acquired and developed raw land into finished lots for sale to home-builders. This included buying raw land, entitling the land and later developing the properties into finished lots. Developing these tracts included obtaining final tract maps, supervising installation of streets, curbs, gutters, sewer and water lines and utilities.

Prior to this, Bob was employed at Cigna Insurance in Denver, Colorado. He led the division nationally in sales and also was one of the top 5 producers for five consecutive years.

Bob graduated from Regis University with a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in History and Philosophy. He served in the United States Army as a Military Policeman in Korea.

Ellen Bellandi Alexander
Director of Finance, CEO & Co-Founder

Ellen Bellandi Alexander, CEO & Founder of Pacific Coast Capital Advisors, Inc., has 28 years of senior level experience, management and leadership as a Construction and Permanent Mortgage Lender, Mezzanine and Equity Lender and Partner, and Manager responsible for Asset Restructuring and Disposition of bank owned real estate (REO) for leading California Banks, the RTC and Mountain Capital Group and related entities.

Recognized for driving growth and profitability as a Director of Real Estate for Mountain Capital Group, an Equity Lender providing Capital and Mezzanine Loans to Real Estate developers, has reinforced her recognition as an expert in the financing, structuring, buying and selling of large scale Real Estate Developments with a reputation as an accomplished strategist, lender and manager.

Ellen is experienced in the financing and structuring of real estate projects having financed over $10 billion of projects during her career ranging in value from less than $1 Million to more than $2 Billion; encompassing most development categories including Hotels, Motels, Industrial, Retail, Apartments, Office Buildings, Self Storage Facilities, Mobile Home Parks and Residential Tract Development.

A seasoned manager of Bank REO’s with a successful track record Structuring, Lending, Classifying and Selling REO or notes to suitable investors, Ellen offers proven relationship management skills essential to closing the deal.

Prior to Mountain Capital Group, Ellen served as First Vice President and Manager for the Western Real Estate Division for First Nationwide Bank where she help build the Western Region’s REO department by directing its initial organizational development, staffing and daily management to promote the cost effective disposition of Bank Real Estate Owned Properties. She managed and liquidated properties over a four year period with an aggregate distressed value of approximately $400 million while generating loans on approximately 60% of all assets sold.

Ellen enjoyed early career success in increasingly responsible senior level and management positions with banks including Crocker National Bank, Coast Savings and Loan Association, East River Savings Bank and as a consultant to the RTC in the liquidation of Gibraltar Savings of California, providing both construction and permanent financing of commercial real estate as well as repositioning and disposition of REO and portfolio loans.

She is a cum laude graduate of UCLA with an MBA in Real Estate Finance and recipient of the graduate school’s award for Most Outstanding Student in Real Estate for two consecutive years, and a cum laude graduate of San Jose State University with a BA in languages with a proficiency in Spanish.
